Some of these imposter colleges will allow you to acquire a copy of a university degree without any coursework at all. Others require that you to finish some coursework, but the courses are often inaccurate or sketchy at best.

One thing to look for with any institution of higher education is their accreditation. You will find a list of qualified accrediting no possible on the Department of Education's website. If a school says they are accredited, first you want to make certain the accrediting agency is recognized, and if they are, you should get in touch with the accrediting agency to make sure that the school you are checking is truly accredited. Some of these fake colleges use names similar to the names of real universities, so be sure you check the entire name of the school precisely as it appears on their website.

For these people technical school is a better fit for their career plans than a lengthy academic degree. Earning an associate’s degree or tech degree combines academic knowledge with real-time experience. In addition, graduates are moved into the job market more quickly than other educational pathways.

Choosing a tech degree program requires a bit of research and focus. The first step is to determine the field of interest. Many tech degree programs fall into an applied science category. Examples of this type of career are surgical tech, veterinary assistant, and dental hygienist. Other tech degree programs prepare future chefs, automotive mechanics, or office assistant.

Does this career path require state licensure? If so, the tech program must meet state educational requirements. This may focus on course work appropriate to the career path and/or include hours of an internship. Some career paths necessitate a background check. Past mistakes can hinder future career goals. Be aware of this and take whatever steps needed to clear the road to success.
